The Sala Ottagonale (Octagonal Hall) belongs to the original Medicean fortress, which was originally accessible through an entrance ramp (still visible today). It is a real masterpiece of the Renaissance architecture, with clear references to the Ancient Roman art. It benefits from a charming eight-sided vault, made with the so-called herringbone brickwork technique, already used by Filippo Brunelleschi for the Dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It offers an exclusive environment to set up side exhibitions, events and genre fairs, presentations, meetings, conventions, or standing and seated buffets.
